Go Go Go!

We are traveling around a lot and we are getting a little tired, so, we have decided to skip Madrid and just spend the extra day in Bilbao.  That way we will have more time to enjoy the city.

Here is what we have done recently…

Last night we got to Barcelona and today we walked around.  I saw a lot of Gaudi’s architecture, which is really cool, and we had a nice time.  We left for Bilbao at 8pm and now we are with Elena (Marisa’s friend) and her mom and sister.  We just had dinner and ate some delicious homemade Spanish food (don’t ask me what it was because I don’t remember, all I know is that it was good :) )

Leaning Tower

Okay, so that’s really all that Pisa has … and it’s kind of smaller than I thought it would be.  But while we were there, we ran into Ennio, our tour guide from Rome … it really is a small world.

Oh, and remember how I was saying that the food here is amazing? Well, apparently my body disagrees, because I broke out with an allergic reaction to something I ate here (but what I have no idea).  So today and yesterday I look like a bumpy pumpkin.  I called Chiara to see what she thought, and luckily she was eating dinner with a doctor, and they helped me out over the phone.  So hopefully in the next few days, the bumps will subside – until then, it looks like Halloween.

Cinque Terre

Today we got out of Florence for the day and went to Cinque Terre.  It was great! We took the train at 6 in the morning and got to Monterosso around 10.  Yes Florence has the David, but Cinque Terre has a nice beach and great views.  We spent most of the day on the beach, and in the afternoon we walked around, when we got back to our hostel we were exhausted.  Good times!!

Got to Florence today, watched the sunset on one of the bridges, and then took a long walk through the city.

More Rome

This morning we went to the Vatican Museum, and Saint Peters Cathedral.  When we walked into the Sistine Chapel, it was breathtaking.  It’s amazing!

Chiara is also taking good care of us.  She also happens to be the best tour guide ever!
